Travel Podcast Editor

We’re looking for a Podcast Editor that can edit long-form audio recordings into a podcast episode, as well as pull short audio clips for short-form video.

As the podcast editor, you will be responsible for editing raw recorded audio footage and creating complete, post-ready podcast episodes.

To ensure success as our video editor, you should:
– Have expert knowledge of modern audio editing techniques
– Be able to consistently produce ready-to-post podcast episodes reflecting Jess’ style and brand voice
– Work according to a strict time schedule

Podcast Editor Responsibilities:
– Eliminating dead air, filler words, and other necessary cuts
– Adding in the provided intro and outro clips
– From the full episode, in separate files pull three 10-30 second audio clips that Jess can repurpose for reels. These clips must focus on a valuable message that provides listeners a peak into the episode or a helpful takeaway
– Write show notes about the episode for Jess’ approval
– Upload episode and show notes to Libsyn, and schedule for weekly release

Video Editor Requirements:
– Previous work experience as a podcast or audio editor
– Hands-on experience with editing software
– Creative and artistic skills
– Familiarity with podcast and social media formats
– Portfolio of editing experience to include podcast and writing examples
– Ability to work to a tight schedule with quick turnaround time
