Travel researcher / personal assistant

Hello!

I am looking for a personal assistant to assist in online research and planning.

I am a business owner in my late 30s, born in the Philippines, raised in the USA, and living in Asia now. My wife & I have two kids age 9 & 12.

We travel often and want help from you to come up with trip ideas, create itineraries, and compare quotes. We want to do novel activities, visit less visited places, and have unique experiences, so it is very important that we search several layers deeper than most travelers. You won’t just be browsing websites, but posting on social media, making calls, and trying to set up travels which don’t exist. We have a flexible budget so you will have a lot of freedom in exploring possibilities. You will be need to have excellent communication skills to contact others on my behalf, and write research reports about your work. I expect you to be proactive, creative, and resourceful.

Occasionally I will need you to do research on lifestyle related issues, such as school related matters for my kids. I may also give you some of my photo editing and social media to manage.

I have many other ventures so I am on my computer or phone practically all the time, so working with me can be demanding for some, but enriching for others. Do not expect this to be a 9-5 job. While you do not need to work strict hours, nor should you expect to have a lot of meetings, to be successful you should be thinking of ways to improve your work even off hours. You should be available on messenger promptly to handle issues and travel emergencies as they come up. Please do not apply if you cannot commit to more than full-time hours.

The starting salary is $1000/mo, with a minimum bonus of $1000 for the first six months worked. If you’re adding a lot of value, your bonus will be much higher. You should expect the salary and bonus to increase significantly if you perform well & learn quickly.

You should have traveled internationally before, and have a passion for travel. Please do not apply if you have only traveled domestically.
