Job Description

Job title: Travel Website Administrator
Reporting to: Operations Director
Remuneration: USD500-800 per month upon completion of a probation period of 3 months.
Commissions: The Travel Website Administrator is entitled to receive 10% of the gross profit distributed equally among all full-time employees after the completion of the probation period.
Hours: General working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 5:30 pm, with a one-hour lunch break. Flexible working hours arrangements can be made after discussing with the immediate supervisor. Working hours should be recorded in the employee time log, signed by the supervisor, and forwarded to the accounts.

Purpose of the position
The Travel Website Administrator is responsible for proper functioning, easy user interface, backend functionalities, enhancements and inventory and content management, and SEO optimisation of the website covering the three main broader areas below:
Ensure bug-free functionality of the website to ensure customers have a trouble-free easy-to-use interface.
Enter and maintain website content, including property, packages and information posts.
Ensure SEO functionality of the website is managed and maintained.

General duties:
Website Functions and Administrations
Analyse user interface and recommend and implement all relevant optimisations to increase website conversions.
Analyse the website backend and front end and recommend optimisations for user interface and conversion rate.
Loading speed optimisation – identify any page loading issues and rectify them to maintain optimal page loading speed.
Site loading – Identify page loading issues and rectified promptly
Manage website hosting – monitor and identify any website hosting issues and rectify them immediately.
Browser compatibility – optimise the website for all major browsers,
Multi-device compatibility – Ensure the website is fully mobile device optimised,
Implement and manage website security to prevent any cyber-attacks on the site and its contents.
Undertake testing and bug fixing of the websites,
Look after all technical aspects of the websites and liaise with the developers to rectify any technical issues.
Undertake website search engine optimisation – implement on-site and off-site SEO tasks and maintain website ranking on page one of search engines.

Supplier and Content Management
Contact resorts, hotels and liveaboard vessels to obtain and negotiate rates and special offers for holiday packages.
Update the website and manage room rates and package prices.
Update room inventory in coordination with property managers/owners to ensure availability.
Manage customer bookings, and communicate with hotels and customers to ensure all our customers receive excellent customer service.
Prepare information posts and post regularly.

SEO Optimisation
Perform and maintain onsite and offsite optimisation.
Establish and manage keyword optimisation.
Manage and maintain backlink optimisation.
