Job brief
We are looking for someone experienced in tutoring or teaching to join our tutoring team to help Students complete class assignments, help review and complete examinations and help complete tests both inside and outside the virtual classroom.
A Tutor is responsible for helping students learn and complete work and both understand new concepts and help complete assignments. A tutor is responsible with helping student keep up with all due tasks and make sure everything is turned in ontime. Ultimately, you will work directly with students to assist them in gaining a better understanding of concepts taught in the classroom and help complete all school related tasks.
Responsibilities
Demonstrate academic competence in the subject area(s) and build a curriculum
Maintain a growth mindset toward student learning and teaching practice
Facilitate problem-solving with a curious mind and critical thinking skills
Be able to write and speak english fluently
Get all assigned tasks done ontime
Monitor and keep track of all assignments due
Daily advise student of tasks that are needed for them to complete that you cannot perform due to beyond your control
Have good communication skills
Monitor messages and emails daily
Give Student a minimum of 5 updates per day
Must be open minded into problems that come about
Must be respectful
Requirements and skills
Proven work experience as a College Student , College Tutor Teacher or similar role
Patient, flexible, positive, consistent, dependable and cooperative open minded and Ability to work unsupervised
Able to work under pressure
Must be able to communicate thoroughly and monitor all virtual class related tasks including due dates etc even though you are not assigned to that class
Must be able to work as a team
Must be accountable
Must be reliable
Must be able to communicate if you are unable to do a task or job assigned
Must have reliable internet connection
Must have a PC
Must have a voice communication device such as (Cellphone or tablet) that can make calls
