Job Description

Here is your challenge – We have a gamified MVP concept design which needs to be brought to life quickly, in phases, and we need a skilled Ui designer who understands component based designs, who actively uses autolayout and understands the real value of making REUSABLE components in Figma (You will have to prove this). Just use the world turtle in the first line to be considered as a candidate. We are looking for a Ui system builder and maintainer, with No fluff, who can work fast and get our MVP done quickly. There is a long term role in the future because we will have a need for many Ui components, along with marketing and branding designs in the weeks to come.

We also need you to communicate well over text in English, and you should be able to join doubt solving calls or goal alignment calls when issues and conflicts show up so that things can be explained well over screen share in Basic English. (You don’t need to show up on video everytime)

Your responsibilities will include –
1. Making well styled Ui from existing rough wireframe and design, where components and screens are named well.

2. Provide fair timelines and estimates for work (we are speaking to many candidates, so we will cross check things with multiple people)

3. Fixing new bugs and tracking old bugs, responding to comments made on Figma regularly.

Preferred candidates are those who have experience with web apps in Figma, who can show and explain work (over screenshare). An active dribble profile is a plus too.

Experience with Gamified Ui (or game based Ui) is a plus.

You’ll get a very relaxed, very accepting, non formal, friendly environment where you can be yourself. We care most about the quality of your work, frequent open communication and the deadlines being met on time.

The goal is to get the MVP designed in one week of you being hired (after the NDA is signed). We know from experience that the most efficient designers in Figma, who use auto layout, and make reusable components, take less time to achieve the needed outcome, so it makes financial sense for you to work on a fixed price basis, with milestone payments based on deliverables.

Best of Luck!
Cheers!

Additional questions: –
1. Share Links to any past Figma projects you have worked on
2. How much experience do you have working with Ui? And what were the tasks you performed?
3. What challenges or creative conflicts have you faced with previous design work, and how did you overcome them?
4. Have you created an admin (or CMS) panel design for web app or gamified apps before?
5. What are your steps in the design process to make sure you meet your client’s vision?
6. When a client or project manager suggests a new approach or different approach to a design task, how do you handle it?
