Role Summary:

We are seeking a talented Web Designer / UI/UX Designer who excels in visual design and user experience. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Figma and a deep understanding of creating intuitive, engaging websites. This role is focused exclusively on design aspects, emphasising aesthetics and functionality that align with our high standards.

Key Responsibilities:

– Design and iterate on UI/UX aspects of digital projects using Figma.
– Collaborate closely with project managers to understand client needs and deliver design solutions that align with their objectives.
– Conduct user research and usability testing to guide your design decisions.
– Create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, and prototypes to effectively communicate design ideas.
– Stay abreast of the latest UI trends, techniques, and technologies.
– Create Loom videos as necessary to showcase work progress and communicate design and functionality aspects.
– Accurately track hours worked and ensure project documentation is thorough and precise.

Essential Skills:

– Proven experience as a Web Designer or UI/UX Designer.
– Strong portfolio showcasing creative design solutions and extensive use of Figma.
– Excellent visual design skills with sensitivity to user-system interaction.
– Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively.
– Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.

Bonus Skills:

– Experience with other design tools such as Adobe Suite.
– Experience with motion design software such as Rive (beneficial but not required).

Work Environment:

This is a contract-based, remote position, allowing you to work from anywhere globally. While we offer flexible work hours, we require a consistent daily work schedule that includes a 3-6 hour overlap with our hours in Melbourne (8 AM to 8 PM).
