Job Description

1. Who we are, what we do:
– We were formed in April 2024 and are already actively pursuing a series of projects, and further have colleagues who will likely want similar services from the successful candidate – enabling the skill learnt or utilized to provide further sources of work.

We are a new property company that:
– buys bungalows in the West of London (i.e. outside of London in Berkshire), and the Midlands to refurbish, to then sell or rent to older couples
– sources property deals for other investors to then buy and refurbish

– We have credibility – whilst it is a new company, I (Ben Phillis, the founder and owner) have been a private landlord for over 10 years. I have worked at many blue-chip companies throughout my career, I have an MBA from London Business School as well as an undergraduate degree from the University of Oxford.

3. Job Description:

The successful candidate should:
– Be able to work independently and with confidence once the templates and briefs have been provided, but be willing to seek further guidance when required
– English language: be proficient in both verbal and written communication

Experience:
– Ideally, previous / existing UK property related experience – ideally with other current customers (respecting all confidentiality between parties)

Skills:
– Ability to research independently using given Excel templates to provide considered opinions on property investment opportunities
– Ability to summarize findings in PowerPoint templates – and to provide considered opinions, using structures to be provided
– Ability to present qualified deal opportunities to the key stakeholders

Software packages to be used:
– High proficient in use of Microsoft Excel
– Proficient in use of Microsoft PowerPoint
– Proficient use of Microsoft Word

Research tools to be used (i.e. the ability to use (or to train themselves up on) relevant research tools, including but not limited to):
– RightMove / Zoopla
– Property Market Intel
– UK Land Registry

Useful but not essential skills – and potentially for future development
– Booking keeping: Proficient with Xero account software
– Diary management – by email and by phone
– Lead filtering
– Use and management of CRM tools (such as hubspot or similar)

Availability
– To be able to speak with UK-based leader at least x1 time per week or once a fortnight for a 1 hour to update on progress

Qualifications:
– Education – to degree level – with a mix of quantitative and qualitative modules
– Bookkeeping qualification
