Upwork Project Manager

As the Upwork Project Manager, you will be validating incoming leads as potential projects, coordinating engagements between Upwork customers and our local team, and ensuring seamless communication, efficient workflow, and meeting high customer expectations. Your attention to detail, organizational skills, and proficiency in English will be crucial in ensuring a high success rate for our projects. This role may require to work late hours to accommodate clients in different time zones.

Responsibilities:

1. Lead Validation:
• Evaluate incoming leads and assess their potential for our company’s services and capabilities.
• Apply for potential leads using company-approved engagement messages.

2. Project Coordination:

• Act as a liaison between Upwork customers and our local team to transfer customer messages into action plan for our local team, and establish and keep execution timelines for timely feedback.
• Ensure all stakeholders are aligned on project objectives, timelines, and deliverables.
• Monitor project progress and follow up on potential issues until they are solved.
• Maintain regular and clear communication with both Upwork customers and our internal team, keeping all parties informed of project updates, changes, and milestones.
• If required, be able to follow up with suppliers directly.
• Address any payment-related concerns or discrepancies in coordination with the finance team.

3. Customer Expectation Management:

• Understand customer expectations and ensure that they are effectively conveyed to the local team.
• Proactively address any concerns or issues raised by the customer, striving to exceed their expectations throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Project Manager, preferably with an understanding of Upwork setup but not a MUST.
• Supply Chain Management experience preferred.
• Exceptional organizational skills and a keen eye for detail.
• Strong English skills.
• Ability to work in the evening to accommodate clients in different time zones.
• Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
• Understanding of sourcing, supplier management, and exposure to manufacturing environment.
• Home-based with flexible organization and stable internet access.
