We are a growing bookkeeping, accounting and financial analytics firm focused on optimizing our clients’ use of QBO. We provide meticulous bookkeeping, as well as financial analytics and dashboards to help businesses thrive, particularly those in the e-commerce sector with complex inventory needs. Due to increasing demand, particularly from product-based and e-commerce companies, I am looking to hire more bookkeepers skilled in managing onboarding, QBO clean-up, daily bookkeeping, and specifically adept in inventory and e-commerce bookkeeping.

Your role in managing the unique challenges of e-commerce clients, including inventory tracking and sales analysis, is vital to Simple Financials’ success. This role, pivotal for handling the intricacies of e-commerce bookkeeping, can be full-time or part-time. We require flexibility to work roughly half of your hours during US Central Standard Time Zone (CST) hours for client and team interactions, with other hours being flexible.
Essential qualifications include extensive QBO experience (preferably 3+ years), particularly with e-commerce or inventory based clients. You should be well-versed in GAAP, cash versus accrual basis accounting, the relationship between income statements and balance sheets, and possess advanced skills in Excel or Google Sheets for financial modeling and data visualization in an e-commerce context.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS LIKE:
– Experience using QBO to manage the bookkeeping for product-based companies where tracking the inventory of sellable products is critical to overall operation
– Experience in inventory accounting, with a focus on accurate tracking and reporting of inventory costs and quantities
– Experience with creating invoice or sales receipts to account for eCommerce sales channels like Amazon, Shopify, Ebay, , etc.
– Managing e-commerce specific financial tasks: creating invoices, sales receipts, credit memos, expenses, purchase orders, bills in QBO.
– Categorizing and matching transactions daily and weekly in the banking section
– Creating invoices, sales receipts, credit memos, expenses, purchase orders and bills in QBO
– Reviewing a client’s QBO Bookkeeping to point out issues and inaccuracies
– Cleaning up messy, inaccurate, and unreconciled books in QBO
– Optimizing a client’s Chart of Accounts so they have a clean and understandable P&L and Balance Sheet
– Creating Journal Entries, monthly, quarterly, and annually for things like payroll, depreciation, amortization, etc.
– Solid understanding and practical experience with accrual accounting principles.
– Accurately using Classes, Locations and Tags in QBO for better reporting
– Monthly reconciliations to ensure accuracy
– Knowledge of advanced reporting features
– Strong proficiency creating financial models in Excel and Google Sheets
– Strong proficiency visualizing data with charts and graphs in Excel and Google Sheets
– Onboarding new clients

RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:
– Managing all QBO bookkeeping including categorizations, reconciliations, invoices, bills, royalties, commission, etc. with a focus on e-commerce businesses.
– Participating in team-wide meetings and contributing to strategic growth, particularly in the e-commerce sector.
– Ensuring adherence to accrual accounting standards, with a special focus on e-commerce and inventory transactions.
COMPENSATION
The position will include a three-month training and onboarding period, which will be compensated at $7 per hour for the first three months given your experience. After this period, compensation will increase to $9 USD per hour for the next nine months of working under the current management to advance in their role (more time if needed). After a year of working with our company, compensation will increase to $10 to $12 per hour USD, with annual promotions and raises to follow, and can be higher given your level of success in the position.
We will also reimburse your OFS PhilHealth and SSS self-payments on a monthly basis after your training period.
Over the next 3 – 5 years, this individual would progress in their role with more strategically focused responsibilities and manage a team of bookkeepers at higher compensation ranging from $30,000 USD ($1.7M Philippine peso) to $40,000 USD ($2.25M Philippine peso) annually.
