R2 Reliability Pty Ltd is an Australian company behind the online Reliability Academy ().
We are looking for a 2D Animator and Video Editor with experience in DaVince Resolve who can work with our existing team in the Philippines to edit course videos (we’re doing a major update) and then create a series of social media videos.
If this works well there are likely more projects in the near future as we create / update more courses. This role will start as a project role for about 2 months full-time but can become a long-term part-time or even full-time role depending on how the business grows and if you have solid 2D animation skills

The company is growing with a small team of full-time and part-time contractors working across the Asia-Pacific region, currently all reporting to the Managing Director based in Brisbane, Australia. We will deliberately hire talent in different regions of the world to keep costs down, create diversity, and build a multi-lingual team.
Scope of Work
– Edit online course videos (combines talking head, with slides and diagrams / animations)
– Create social media videos (repurposing course videos as well as videos made purely for social)
– Create course trailers and course promotional videos
– Design a suite of animation characters and backgrounds that resonate with our industry and customers
– Develop 2D animation videos like this example: /watch?v=0m1q8QKxdWE based on story-boards and scenarios developed by our marketing team or based on course content.
– Assist with developing storyboards
What We’re Looking For:
– excellent video editing skills in DaVinci Resolve
– fast, independent worker with an excellent eye for detail
– creative and can get the most out of a brand guideline
– good team player and communicator who is open to feedback
– good ability to improve sound quality
– bonus if you are a creative 2D animator who can create explainer videos
We are looking for someone based in the Philippines as that is where our support team is based.
About You
Knowledge and skills are important, but we will primarily hire based on attitude and behaviour, which means apart from having strong experience in Video Editing with DaVinci Resolve (including coloring and improving audio):
– You are honest, reliable, and have a great attitude to work
– You do what you say and say what you do
– You pay attention to detail, get things right the first time and have a very logical approach to troubleshooting/problem solving
– You take initiative and can work with relatively little supervision
– You speak up when you don’t know something or don’t understand, but are proactive enough to then go and find out and learn.
– You can work well on your own, but can manage and lead a team
– You have no problem receiving feedback from others and acting on it
