A privately-held high growth merchandising business based in Los Angeles, California, is looking to add an Accounting Manager who will work remotely from the Philippines during U.S. business hours. POSITION SUMMARY
The Accounting Manager will manage a team of Staff Accountants and work closely with the Controller. They will be an integral part of the Accounting and Finance team with visibility to senior leadership. We are looking for someone who is willing to learn and grow within the Accounting Organization. This role will be responsible for day to day, monthly, and quarterly monitoring of financial activities.

RESPONSIBILITIES
– Managing a team of Staff Accountants
– Assisting in the preparation of financial statements in compliance with GAAP
– Management of both Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable
– Bookkeeping within Quickbooks Online including but not limited to transaction matching, bank and credit card reconciliations, ensuring transactions related to certain e-commerce stores are classed to that store, and other ad hoc reporting and analysis as needed
– Reconciling online sales data utilizing Shopify reporting with the ability to report on gross revenue along with analysis of related sales channel fees and the respective reporting within Quickbooks Online
– Compile monthly royalty reporting and calculations using Shopify for revenue reporting and Quickbooks reporting to identify respective cost of goods sold deductions
– Identifies and implements areas of opportunity to modify or enhance existing processes and procedures along with documenting current processes
– Work with our Guangzhou warehouse to review inventory purchases and the related accounting around inventory and COGS

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
– At least 6+ years of professional accounting experience (Big 4 experience preferred)
– Solid understanding and knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
– Experience with ERP integrations, specifically Odoo, is a plus
– Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets
– Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Quickbooks Online &
– Experience with Shopify and/or E-Commerce Accounting is a plus
– Knowledge of concepts, practices and procedures as relates to general ledger accounting
– Strong analytical and problem solving skills with strong attention to detail
– Must be able to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
– Optional: Royalty accounting experience

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
– Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics or equivalent experience
– CPA preferred
