We’re looking for a Part-Time or Full-Time Bookkeeper for a psychiatric and mental health services company in California.

To be successful in this role, you should have a flair for numbers and be able to handle sensitive information. We are looking for a strong team player, eager to build a career in a fast-growing company, fast and flexible in adopting new systems and technologies, and with strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
End-to-end processing of accounts payable and receivable
Entering and filing Vendor Invoices
Preparation of Vendor payment schedules and credit management
Processing of cash receipts and credit control
Weekly Bank and credit card reconciliations
Sales tax filings
Journal entries
Prepare monthly/quarterly, and annual reports, including cash flow, balance sheets, and P&L statements
Review payroll and prepare payroll reporting periodically
Assist with end-of-month processing & financial-year reporting
Checking the number of hours employees have worked
Calculating wages and salaries
Issuing employees’ wages by cash, cheque, or electronic transfer
Collaborating with the human resources department to maintain employee data
Issuing tax forms and related documentation and assisting employees to complete them
Deducting tax and insurance payments
Resolving issues employees have with timesheets, payslips, and other payroll matters
Ad-hoc admin tasks

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy
Must be CPA
Must have an active CPA license
A minimum of 3 years experience as a US Bookkeeper or similar.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
In-depth understanding of human resources and labor rules and regulations.
Attention to detail and strong numeracy skills.
Working knowledge of payroll software.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Must have work-from-home equipment such as an internet connection, computer or laptop, and headset
