SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
>>Contact clients through phone, email and video conference.
>>Follow up on document and signature requests
>>Follow up on meeting requests
>>Birthday and Holiday greetings
>>Perform services within budgeted time by developing technical, time management and organizational skills
>>Write and distribute email, correspondence memos, letters, faxes and forms
>>Maintain electronic filing system in SmartVault
>>Maintain contact lists in ZOHO CRM
>>Update and maintain office procedures and workflows in Trello
>>Assist with month-end and year-end financial reports
>>Post journal entries and adjusting entries
>>Handle routine client tax questions and works with client to collect necessary information for tax return completion and compliance
>>Respond orally and in writing to various tax inquiries from clients
>>Independently prepare individual, corporate, partnership and non-for-profit tax returns
>>Assist in the preparation of quarterly and year-end estimates
>>Tax Preparation of Corporate, Individual, Fiduciary, Non-Profit and Partnership Tax Returns
>>Prepare and process Sales Tax Returns for monthly and quarterly Clients.
>>Review and/or draft correspondence with IRS and state taxing authorities
>>Make adjusting entries and complete a trial balance in order to prepare business returns
>>Perform accounting/bookkeeping functions when needed
>>Perform services within budgeted time by developing technical, time management and organizational skills
>>Research tax issues and provide tax planning and consulting services
>>Conducting face-to-face tax interviews with clients
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
>>3+ years tax preparation experience required
>>Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Tax and a minimum of 3 years of prior experience with write-up, payroll and tax returns.?
>>Able to pass our Tax Preparer Test
>>Experience working in a fast-paced environment
>>Experience with general ledger and fixed asset reporting systems?
>>Accounting GPA of 3.0 or higher
>>An overall GPA of 3.0 or higher
>>Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Microsoft Excel
>>Must be able to work independently and be reliable
>>Ability to utilize firm technology to enhance client service
>>Excellent Customer Service skills
PREFERENCES
>>5+ years’ experience in completing complex returns (individual, trust, partnership, corporate)
>>Form 990 Non-profit industry experience
>>Masters of Tax degree
>>CPA, pursing CPA or Enrolled Agent certification
>>Experience with ProSeries tax preparation software
>>QuickBooks ProAdvisor certification
>>Experience calculating Employee Retention Credit (ERC)
>>Experience preparing Form 941-X for ERC Credit
>>Pursuing a Masters of Tax or Accounting degree
>>Pursing CPA license or Enrolled Agent certification
>>Experience with ProSeries Professional tax preparation software a plus
>>QuickBooks experience or ProAdvisor certification a plus
>>SmartVault Client portal experience a plus
>>Zoho CRM experience a plus
>>PandaDoc experience a plus
>>Trello experience a plus
30-40 hrs a week: 9am-3pm/6pm Eastern Time
