CLIENT BACKGROUND
Our client is a U.S. international tax specialty firm, specializing in cross-border tax preparation and consulting services. They offer a variety of tax and accounting services focused on cross border business expansion as well as tax services for U.S. persons living abroad. They provide a high level of personable service and a unique approach to meeting their clients tax and accounting needs. Our client team is passionate about innovative ways to provide service delivery to their specialized client base located throughout the world.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Prepare personal tax returns (1040) with international tax forms (5471, 3520, 3520-A, 8621, 8865, 8858, 8938, FBAR).
Handle the preparation of business tax returns, including forms 1120S, 1120, and 1065.
Ensure compliance with federal and state tax regulations.
Collaborate with the team to develop effective tax planning strategies.
Provide recommendations to minimize tax liabilities while maximizing financial benefits.
Stay informed about changes in tax laws and regulations to proactively identify opportunities for clients.
Conduct in-depth tax research to address complex tax issues.
Stay updated on current tax laws, rulings, and interpretations.
Analyze and interpret tax legislation to provide accurate and timely advice.
Communicate effectively with clients to gather necessary information for tax preparation.
Address client inquiries and provide expert guidance on tax-related matters.
Build and maintain strong client relationships.
Maintain organized and comprehensive tax records for clients.
Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
Assist in the development and implementation of tax compliance procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS
Graduate of Accountancy or a related field (CPA/EA is an advantage).
With at least 2 years of experience in US tax preparation in public accounting practice (experience with US expats is an advantage)
Possesses good communication skills
Experience with CCH Axcess is a plus
With experience in working from home is required
