Responsibilities:
Assist the psychiatrist in generating fully templated medical charts for medication management patient visits using the “Office Ally” EMR. Free training will be provided for this system. This will involve discussing each patient with the doctor, identifying key issues or changes from the previous note, and integrating this information, along with any updates on the patient’s mood and medication changes, into a complete medical note.
Utilize the “Office Ally” EMR system to continuously refine and improve the integrated templates, thereby increasing charting efficiency.
Handle personal assistant duties for the President, which include maintaining a personal Chrome calendar, coordinating travel, and providing assertive reminders based on the schedule.
Manage patient payments, which involves collecting payments from cash patients via credit card and processing charges through the merchant terminal. In addition, you’ll liaise with the biller, facilitating their work by providing copies of new insurance cards and confirming the biller has submitted insurance bills through the EMR system.
Sort and curate scanned mail into designated lists using the Evernote program, ensuring that all mail is first reviewed by the doctor. This system will also be employed for email and fax monitoring.
Possibly perform light bookkeeping duties using QuickBooks.
Answer the phone during California business hours, scheduling appointments as needed.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Prior experience in a similar role, ideally within a healthcare environment.
Proficiency with the “Office Ally” EMR system.
Excellent organizational skills and ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a good command of the English language and near-native American speech.
High level of professionalism, with a keen focus on patient confidentiality.
Experience with Chrome, Evernote, and QuickBooks preferred.

Compensation:
We offer competitive compensation ranging from $4 to $7 an hour, depending on experience and skills. Regular performance bonuses are also available for outstanding work.
