Job Description

Reports to: Head of Billings and Collections

Purpose of Job:
Chase debtors for outstanding balances, owed to our customers. Plus other ad-hoc duties

Main Activities:
• Chase debtors based on set criteria the customer has set.
• Escalate any queries
• Supporting MD with tasks

Other Duties:
• Maintain high standards of financial management and record keeping.
• Always act in the best interests of clients.
• To achieve financial objectives including cash collection.
• Provide updates on caseloads to management as required
• Comply with and uphold the firm’s policies and procedures, such as health and safety, IT, security, email and anti-virus policies and equality and fair treatment
• Be flexible to carry out any other reasonable task as requested within the office environment.

Knowledge/Skills/Experience:
• Proven ability to develop new business and maintain existing contacts.
• Good IT skills and knowledge are essential.
• Maintains the highest professional standards.
• Ability to build supportive relationships with everyone across the firm.
• Excellent organisational skills.
• Able to multi-task, manage time effectively and keep calm under pressure.
• Must have a friendly demeanour but can be firm when needed.

• You will have previous experience working in a customer-focused environment, with telephone/call centre duties ideally in a credit control environment.
• You will have excellent oral and written communication skills
• You will be punctual and flexible in adapting to changing environments based on role requirements
• You must be confident in using Microsoft Office such as Outlook, Excel and Word
• You are friendly and empathetic
• Excellent team player who can work independently and adapt well to change
• You are compassionate, grounded, logical and objective; able to follow through on difficult decisions
• The hours of the Company are 9 am to 5 pm UK/GMT. Phone calls must be done from 8 am to 6 pm GMT. London, Greenwich.
• References will be requested
• 40 hours a week and room for promotion and salary increase for the right person.
• We welcome applications from VAs too as different skill sets will be required, The credit control role is only part-time.
