Job Description

I run a small web development agency specializing in WordPress located in Portland, Oregon, USA for the last 23 years. My business is growing so I need a trustworthy Personal Assistant/VA to work with me.

I am looking for someone who can work at least 4 hours between 9:00 am to 3:00 pm – US, Pacific Standard Time Zone (GMT-8), Monday through Friday. I am seeking someone who can work at least 20 hours per week and possibly up to full-time (40 hours per week) depending on pay rate and skill level.

I’m not big on stress so while I will expect you to work efficiently and get things done, I focus on open communication and getting things done right the first go around. I’m a straight shooter and am very transparent.

The work is dynamic and ever-changing and you will work directly with me, the owner.

I enjoy helping people. I’m in the business of helping my clients and their businesses. You need to be a person who loves to deliver remarkable experiences to other people. You need to be someone who feels good by making other people feel good.

You need to nail down the details. You don’t need to race through work and get things done halfway. I need you to slow things down and get them done right. We’re all about quality here.

I’m looking for an intelligent hire with plenty of energy and a get-it-done attitude.

Monthly tasks include:
• Email management
• Help desk email ticket management
• Online research
• Using online tools to get transcripts of videos
• Posting videos to YouTube

Qualities we are looking for:
• English fluency, both oral and written.
• At least 1 year of VA experience.
• A free thinker, willing to look for answers.
• A team player who is happy working in a small team of 2-4 people.
• Strong communication skills.
• Strong listening skills
• Responsive: Quick with email and chat communication

Special requirements:
• A computer that is two years old or less
• Your own high-speed Internet connection and some kind of backup internet
