Job Description

We are not just looking for a Virtual Assistant to just fill a job. This position is a stepping stone to joining a managed service provider and becoming a technician that will handle IT related issues.

As you review the description, we welcome any questions you may have about the position or our team. The position will start at 10-20 hours per week and be mostly backend administrative work and gradually increase to 40 hours per week over a 30 day period as we train you. All possibilities for raises based upon work performance.

Requirements for this position are:
– Strong English speaking/writing
– Willingness to work night shift (we are based in Hawaii and are looking for someone to cover 9PM-6AM Manila time)
– Willingness to use Teams for voice/video conferencing
– IT helpdesk experience NOT REQUIRED but is benefical (we will train)
– Experience with Dentrix or other dental software helpful but NOT REQUIRED

Position Overview
Your role will start as a VA with limited IT duties. As your trust in us (and our trust in you) grows, we will assign you increasing levels of IT work and responsibility. Eventually the goal is to get you to take over answering service desk calls so I can bring on more clients. Pay will start at $400/mo base + benefits (SS,Philhealth, Pag-Ibig, etc). Pay will increase as you learn skills and will cap at $2000/mo(it will take time to get here, this is not something that can be accomplished in 1-2 years, but getting to $1000/mo is possible in that timeframe).

+ Generate and compile reports for clients
+ Reboot servers if needed following our procedure (we will train)
+ Reset user passwords
+ Learn invoicing procedure
+ Obfuscating Dentrix
+ Firewall renewals
+ DNS reviews
+ Upgrade UPS firmware
+ Other duties as experience and trust builds

Qualities needed to be successful

Skill are something that can be learned and perfected over time. As corny as it sounds, there are 3 qualities that we are looking for:

Nightshift preferred, Detail oriented and Desire to Learn

Nightshift preferred. This is a service desk position so there is no chance of being rotated to a daytime schedule. We do not receive a high volume of calls so there will be downtime…you cannot fall asleep or be short/rude to clients because you’re tired and it’s late!

Detail oriented. We work with computer systems and having a decimal misplaced or numbers wrong can create catastrophic problems. We need someone who is detail oriented and will not miss the little things because in our field, the little things matter.

Desire to learn. We are a small team but we are the best at what we do. We want people who are open to learning new skills and taking on new projects. If you’re not excited about improving your skills or trying things outside your comfort zone, this is not for you.
