Role Overview:
In the initial weeks, you’ll play a pivotal role in setting up our new repair management software, , and integrating it into our eCommerce platform. This includes graphic design, content creation (with tools like ChatGPT), and overall website management. Post-setup, your focus will shift primarily to managing customer communications across various channels, including eBay and our website, ensuring our clients receive timely and helpful responses.
Responsibilities:
Set up and integrate repair management software and eCommerce functionality on our website.
Design graphics and generate content for our website, ensuring a seamless user experience.
Manage customer inquiries via eBay, our website, and the repair ticketing system, providing prompt and accurate responses.
Relay complex queries to the team when necessary.
Periodically review repair tickets and update statuses.
Assist with additional projects, such as website development, as needed.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in customer service, ideally in a remote setting.
Familiarity with eBay and eCommerce platforms such as Shopify, WooCommerce, or Magento. Knowledge of PHP/MySQL is a plus.
Experience with or willingness to learn .
Ability to work independently, find solutions, and make decisions.
Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused mindset.
Flexibility to adapt to an unconventional schedule, including early morning or late-night communications.

We are a mail in repair service, small company but blew up faster then we thought and we cant keep up with customer messages. We were running the whole business manually I haven’t been able to respond to a lot of messages in almost over 4 days. We repair the ABS Pump Module on Hondas and Fords, Right now all our customers come from eBay. They buy our service there and send their part to us and we fix it and send it back. Me and my brother are so busy with the repairs that customer service or implementing new software on to the website we don’t have time for.
We don’t micromanage and want to hire someone who will go the extra mile in helping setup the website or change work flows etc but we are not going to make you show up at a certain time and have a mile longs list of stuff for you to do. The first few weeks will be busy for you because would need you to help setup our new repair management software and implement it onto our site as a ecommerce store. I’ll help with organizing it and laying it out but you would need to be able to make the graphics, use chat gpt for content etc.
After site and repair management program is done and we get the messages under control. Your job becomes easier would just want you to have your phone by you to wait for messages form the website or from eBay or repair ticket.
You would answer the simple normal questions but anything that you couldn’t know you would just message me or my brother to let us know to respond to it. I would say 70% of the messages you would respond to and the rest me or my brother would have to.
So this wouldn’t be a career where you would climb the ladder but this would be a really easy job with two people that will treat you like family. You’ll be able to go to the store etc while waiting for messages. Maybe every morning youll check on repair tickets for hour or so.
Occasionally may have you work on another project like a website, so you would have to decide if you want a set salary no matter how busy. Or if you want to have a different setup where you have a smaller amount when were normal but then pay goes up while working on new project where you would be working all day for few weeks at a time.
Also with so much time to your self while waiting for messages etc we a lot of times work from the moment we wake up until we fall asleep so there would be times we may message you early in the morning or late at night and we wouldn’t be demanding answers or anything but we wouldn’t want you to be upset by this unusual schedule and communication time.
Preferred Skills
Customer Service, SEO, Ebay, Shopify or Woo commerce or magneto etc php/mysql would be amazing. If you have experience with that would move you up the list somewhat. Really need someone that can find answers on their own and take a chance if you look up bad information and tell it to the customer its not the end of the world. Want you to feel you can make decisions.
