What you do need is EXCELLENT English communication skills and critical thinking skills.
You must be organized and reliable, curious and a fast learner, and a self-starter. You are customer service oriented and a good communicator. You have good task management skills.
This position will vary in hours. You will likely need to put in more time up front to learn and ramp up. After which, tasks may not take much time. We will start with part time, but it can become a full time position. It’s really up to you. The more you learn and are able to help with a variety of tasks, the more we can do together.
The majority of your tasks to start will be Property Management: Short Term and Long Term Rentals.
Typical tasks will be:
-manage properties for short term rental with software, adjusting settings and listings to maximize rental income
-advertising properties for mid term or long term rental on platforms such as: Facebook, Craigslist, Zillow, etc.
-looking for and screening mid/long term tenants
-answering messages from short term guests
-answering inquiries from potential mid/long term tenants
-monitoring and organizing/coordinating cleaning and maintenance
Some of the applications you can expect to use are: Airbnb, VRBO, Hospitable, BeyondPricing, Craigslist, Zillow, , and Facebook.
You will also be expected to create processes around the work that we do, including writing documentation and keeping notes.
You may also work on other tasks, such as things I need done personally.
As you become comfortable with the property management tasks, other tasks I may have would be regarding book publishing and marketing.
I am looking for someone who will be a long term potentially full time assistant. I would prefer to start hours a bit lower in the beginning to make sure it’s a good fit. Once I can see that you are a good fit and that I’m able to hand tasks over to you, I can give you more projects and hours.
Working hours are flexible, though I would prefer that you are available during the hours of approximately 9/10am – 11pm PST, 7 days per week, for answering guest messages as needed. These are not frequent. It’s just a matter of being reachable in case a guest needs something urgent.

Scenario Task: I have a unit that I sometimes rent short term with Airbnb for example. I would like to rent it for a longer period, preferably from September or October until end of March or April. That is the ideal but I can accept shorter. Where would you advertise this apartment?
