Position Overview:
As a Vendor Operations Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our vendor relationships and procurement processes. You will be responsible for reviewing and placing orders, resolving order-related issues, managing vendor relationships, identifying and onboarding new vendors, and establishing vendor accounts. Your attention to detail, communication skills, and ability to navigate complex vendor dynamics will be essential to your success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
Final Review of Orders: Conduct a comprehensive review of all items before placing orders, ensuring accuracy in quantity, shipping details, compliance with restrictions, and alignment with cash flow requirements.
Order Placement: Daily placement of orders in accordance with company procedures, promptly inputting all necessary information into the system for tracking and documentation purposes.
Order Issue Resolution: Proactively address and resolve any pre- and post-delivery order issues, including obtaining Return Merchandise Authorizations (RMA) and coordinating returns or replacements as needed.
Vendor Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing vendors, serving as the primary point of contact for order-related inquiries, updates, and negotiations.
New Vendor Sourcing: Identify potential new vendors through market research, trade shows, and networking. Evaluate vendor capabilities and assess their suitability for partnership.
Vendor Onboarding: Collaborate with the appropriate departments to establish accounts and onboard new vendors, ensuring that all necessary documentation and contracts are in place.
Qualifications:
– High School Diploma
– Previous experience in procurement, purchasing, or a related role is a plus but not required (Open to fresh graduates)
– Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain vendor relationships.
– Proficiency in using procurement software and Microsoft Excel.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
– Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
– Have previous Amazon Seller experience is highly recommended but not required.
