We are looking for a skilled Video Content Specialist to join our team. The Video Content Specialist will be responsible for creating, editing, and producing video content that support our internal learning needs as well as help increase customer knowledge of our products and services. As video has increasingly become one the best ways to communicate company value propositions and educate distributed teams and customers, this position will play an important role in the company’s growth.
This is a REMOTE position requiring a good internet connection (at least 50MBps), your own workstation (including video editing software), a smartphone with data, and schedule flexibility including the possibility of weekend work when needed.
Key Responsibilities:
-Develop and maintain the company’s monthly video content plan
-Produce simple, clear, and concise video content and build a library of amazing product and services videos, hiring videos and other types of videos company may need
-Manage and oversee all technical aspects of video recording and editing from conception to completion, including pre-production planning, filming, editing, and post-production work. (We use rendering, animation, and have source video of physical product/usage of the product… you can also request for a team to go and record footage — but this is much much much more complicated)
-Collaborate with other members of the team to ensure video content aligns with our overall goals.
-Analyze the performance of video content and use data to make informed decisions and improvements
Who We are Looking For (Requirement):
-At least 4 years of experience in video content creation with a strong background in creating explainer videos and product videos using a variety of techniques (e.g. using motion graphics)
-Proficient in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or Final Cut Pro
-Knowledge and good understanding about video SEO and optimization techniques.
-Strong attention to detail
-Strong interpersonal skills
-Strong creative thinking with a passion for storytelling and visual content
-Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
-Excellent project management skills
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills
The 3 Key Things You Will Help/Make an Impact:
1) Create video to help educate OUR OWN customer service and team members. We need to educate our own staff on our own product (hand rails). You will work with the owner (Richard), the customer service team (for commonly asked questions/confusions), and personal research (+ using ChatGPT) to create video content that can help EVERYONE understand the product, the use, better. (We have 2 people on the team who does animation and you can ask them to do the animation needed).
2) Create video that also helps explain our product (this is pretty much the above point…). We want to sell by explaining the product and the benefits and the features.
3) Overall, your video will inform & educate both customer and our own staff. You WILL need to come up with your own storyline and understand what is the message we are trying to communicate and how to communicate it.
