Video Editor

We are seeking a Long-Form Video Editor to join our team and take on the editing of our YouTube videos, including animations & graphics that go into the video product. In your position, you have a tangible impact on how our message & mission is shared, received, and packaged.

Key Responsibilities

• Video Editing: Edit one high-quality video per week for our YouTube channel.
• Pre-Packaging: Contribute to the pre-packaging (title and thumbnail concepts) for your videos.
• Expertise: Consistently & powerfully grow in your editing skills & abilities.
• Room for Improvement: Proactively review the performance and community feedback of the videos that you edited, and make suggestions on how we can further improve our YouTube videos.
• Meetings: Attend weekly meetings with the CEO, Operations Manager, and Account Manager to discuss current dynamics, trends, metrics, and feedback in regard to our social media presence.

What Are Your Requirements?
• Work Schedule: You are available to work remotely for 40 hours per week.
• Language: You have a strong command of the English language (written and spoken; C1+).
• Working Experience: 2+ years of professional experience in the field of video editing and production, motion graphics, and sound design.
• Knowledge: You have a profound understanding of the YouTube space and long-form content (incl. hooks, storytelling, pacing, and strategy).
• Task Management: You are able to work effectively and organizedly using task management software (i.a., ClickUp), as well as any kind of software related to your profession (e.g., Premiere Pro or Final Cut & After Effects).
• Technical Proficiency: You are skilled in using different kinds of software, particularly the Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Calendar).

Results
• Test Period: You reach the set goals for the 3-month test period.
• Video Creation:
? You finalize the editing of at least one high-quality video per week.
? We establish a 2-week buffer for our YouTube videos.
• Average Viewing Duration (AVD) is established at & maintained over 6:00 min.
