Job Title: Video Editor

Job Overview:
We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Video Editor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for storytelling through video and be proficient in using industry-standard editing software. This role involves assembling recorded footage into a finished project that matches the director’s vision and is suitable for broadcasting. As a Video Editor, you will play a key role in creating high-quality video content for our various platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
Edit raw footage into compelling video content for various platforms including social media, websites, and presentations.
Collaborate with the creative team to understand project scope and objectives.
Review shooting script and raw material to create a shot decision list based on scenes’ value and contribution to continuity.
Trim footage segments and put together the sequence of the film.
Input music, dialogues, graphics, and effects.
Create rough and final cuts.
Ensure logical sequencing and smooth running of the video.
Continuously discover and implement new editing technologies and industry’s best practices to maximize efficiency.
Work closely with producers, directors, and other team members to ensure consistent and high-quality output.
Requirements:
Proven work experience as a Video Editor.
Solid experience with digital technology and editing software packages (e.g., Avid Media Composer, Lightworks, Premiere, After Effects, Final Cut).
Demonstrable video editing ability with a strong portfolio.
Thorough knowledge of timing, motivation, and continuity.
Familiarity with special effects, 3D, and compositing.
Creative mind and storytelling skills.
Ability to work under tight deadlines.
Attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in creating content for social media platforms.
Knowledge of color correction and grading.
Basic knowledge of sound design and mixing.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
