Job Description

Project: 100 – 150 Exercise Video Tutorials
~$5 /hr ( est. 1 video/hr )

Our team at Apace is responsible for creating video tutorials demonstrating how to perform exercises in the gym or at home. We already have a model and videos but need an editor who can clip, sequence, and add animations to the videos.

Responsibilities:
* Edit engaging and informative tutorial videos, each lasting between 1-2 minutes, formatted specifically for vertical viewing on mobile devices.
* Edit video clips to include a mix of live-action footage and animation, ensuring smooth transitions and engaging visuals.
* Collaborate with our team to improve our video recording and editing process
* Incorporate creative graphics and animations that enhance the instructional content of the videos.
* Optimize videos for viewing on various platforms
* Ensure all content meets the quality standards and brand guidelines of the company.
* Manage and archive video files and assets in an organized manner using Google Drive
* Meet project deadlines and provide regular updates on progress. (Weekly and occasionally daily updates)

Required Skills:
* Proven experience in video editing and animation with a portfolio of past work.
* Proficiency with video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro) and animation tools (e.g., Adobe After Effects).
* Excellent understanding of the requirements for vertical video formats and specifications for social media platforms.
* Strong communication skills and ability to work remotely with minimal supervision.
* Fluent in American English, both spoken and written.

Selection Process:
1. Initial Screening:
We will review all applications and portfolios to assess each candidate’s technical skills and experience.

2. Test Project:
Shortlisted candidates will be given a small video editing task to complete, designed to evaluate their ability to handle the specific requirements of the project.
(est. 30min or less)
Note: If you have already completed a similar example in your portfolio we will accept that as a submission.

3. Interview:
Candidates who perform well in the test project will be invited for a video interview to discuss their experience, understand their workflow, and assess their compatibility with the project needs.
