What you’ll be doing

Job Description:

As a Video Editor, you will be responsible for crafting compelling and visually appealing video content that aligns with our clients’ brand’s objectives and resonates with our target audience. You will work closely with the creative team to edit raw footage into polished videos, ensuring high production quality and storytelling effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Video Editing: Edit raw footage, including cutting, splicing, adding transitions, effects, sound, and music to create engaging and cohesive video content.

2. Storytelling: Utilize your creative storytelling skills to convey the brand’s message effectively through video content, maintaining consistency with brand voice and identity.

3. Collaboration: Collaborate with producers, directors, graphic designers, and other team members to conceptualize video projects, develop creative ideas, and execute projects from conception to completion.

4. Post-Production: Conduct color correction, audio mixing, and other post-production tasks to enhance the visual and auditory quality of videos.

5. Visual Effects: Incorporate visual effects, motion graphics, and animation to enhance the overall impact and aesthetics of video content.

6. Quality Control: Ensure all video content meets quality standards, technical specifications, and deadlines, making necessary revisions and adjustments as needed.

7. File Management: Organize and manage video files, assets, and project files in an efficient and systematic manner to facilitate smooth workflow and collaboration.

8. Software Proficiency: Stay updated with the latest video editing software and tools (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, After Effects) and utilize them effectively to achieve desired outcomes.

9. Feedback Implementation: Receive feedback from stakeholders and incorporate revisions and changes into video projects to meet client expectations and project requirements.

10. Adaptability: Adapt to evolving project requirements, timelines, and priorities while maintaining flexibility and attention to detail.

Requirements:

– Proven experience as a video editor or similar role, with a strong portfolio showcasing your editing skills, creativity, and attention to detail.
– Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar tools, as well as knowledge of motion graphics and animation software (e.g., After Effects).
– Solid understanding of video production processes, including shooting, editing, and post-production techniques.
– Strong storytelling abilities and creative vision, with the ability to translate ideas into visually compelling narratives.
– Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and take direction from stakeholders.
– Time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet tight deadlines.
– Attention to detail and a keen eye for visual aesthetics, composition, and timing.
