Position Summary:

We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Video Editor to transform our long-form video content into engaging short-form reels optimized for a variety of social media platforms. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a deep understanding of social media content trends, and an innate ability to tell compelling stories in a concise format. If you’re a dynamic editor with a knack for making content pop on social media, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

Editing & Production: Efficiently cut down long-form video content into engaging short reels, ensuring that the narrative remains compelling and the essence of the original content is retained.
Transcription & Captioning: Accurately transcribe video content and overlay videos with clear, error-free captions. Ensure that captions are correctly synchronized and formatted.
Sound & Effects: Incorporate sound effects, background music, and other audio-visual enhancements to elevate the viewing experience.
Platform Optimization: Adjust and optimize videos to ensure they adhere to the format and guidelines of various social platforms, including TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube Shorts.
Quality Assurance: Proofread captions for spelling and grammatical errors, ensuring the clarity and accuracy of all content.

Requirements:

Proven experience in video editing with a portfolio or reel showcasing your expertise.
Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar platforms.
Strong command of the English language, with exceptional attention to detail in proofreading and captioning.
Experience with transcription services or tools.
Familiarity with the specifications and content trends of major social platforms.
Ability to work under tight deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to receive and implement feedback.
Familiarity with sound editing and color correction is a plus.

Work Schedule: Initially, this role will require a commitment of approximately 5 hours per week. Based on performance and company needs, there is potential to transition into a part-time or full-time role.
