Role Overview:
As a Video Editor at Social Seed, you will play a crucial role in our production team by assembling and editing recorded film and video footage. You will utilize your artistic skills and expertise in editing software to create visually compelling projects that align with the production director’s vision.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the Creative director to understand the production vision and requirements.
Review raw footage to determine the shot list and identify key moments.
Utilize modern editing techniques to manipulate film and video footage.
Maintain continuity by organizing shots based on their scene value.
Trim footage and create a rough project structure.
Add shortcuts, subtitles and headlines to improve Social Media content
Create and edit social media footage
Enhance projects by adding dialogue, sound effects, music, graphics, and special effects.
Ensure the project follows a logical sequence and flows seamlessly.
Consult with the director and production team throughout the editing process.
Create the final cut for broadcasting, ensuring it meets the highest quality standards.
Requirements:
Previous work experience as a video editor.
Proficiency in the editing software Adobe Suite
Creative and artistic skills to bring visual stories to life.
Familiarity with 3D composition and special effects.
Strong portfolio showcasing completed film productions.
Ability to work under tight deadlines without compromising quality.
Excellent ability to translate ideas into cohesive and visually appealing projects.
Understanding of Social Media style editing for each platform to ensure content is always relevant.
Work Requirements:
Must have a backup workspace in the event of natural disasters, technical issues, or other disruptions.
Must have access to a backup electricity provider, home generator, or portable generator.
Proficient in basic work equipment repair or access to technical assistance/repair facilities.
If required for client-facing duties, must have a wired headset with a noise-canceling microphone and a minimum 480p webcam for video calls.
Stable internet connection of at least 25 Mbps for video conferencing.
Part-time hours: Up to 20 Hours/Week
Compensation: Starting position is $4 USD per hour. Growth is encouraged.

Our agency operates on Eastern Time (EST), which is 12 hours ahead of Philippine Time (PHP).

[PHP Evening] US Morning: 8 AM – 12 PM EST (8 PM – 12 AM PHP Evening)
[PHP Graveyard] US Afternoon: 12 PM – 5 PM EST (12 AM – 5 AM PHP Graveyard)
[PHP Day Shift] US Evening: 5 PM – 10 PM EST (5 AM – 10 PM PHP Morning)
