Job Description
Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Video Editor to join our team. The ideal candidate should be proficient in using DaVinci Resolve and Adobe Premiere Pro to edit and export 4K videos. Your role will involve handling original media, cutting and exporting them, and creating engaging short-form content for platforms like TikTok.
Responsibilities:
1. Download & Cut:
– Download original media from Google Drive
– Cut the clip using Recut software and export it in XML format.
2. Import & Edit:
– Import the XML file into DaVinci Resolve or Adobe Premiere Pro.
– Perform second cuts and edits to ensure the video flows naturally.
3. Intro Creation:
– Create a 1-minute or shorter animated hook intro using video highlights.
– *Motion Graphics will only be used in the intros and if not, you will be notified prior to editing.
4. Final Export:
– Export the edited video.
5. Short-Form Content:
– Use the edited timeline to create 5-10 TikTok shorts.
6. Export Audio:
– Export the audio file for podcast use, including the given audio intro and outro files.
Requirements:
– Proficiency in DaVinci Resolve and Adobe Premiere Pro.
– Ability to edit and export 4K videos.
– Experience with short-form content creation for social media.
– Experience in exporting audio files for podcasts.
Note:
*We conduct a brief work interview to assess your skills and work ethic. If you are unwilling to spend 30 minutes demonstrating your abilities with our assets, PLEASE DO NOT APPLY.

Interview Process
Instructions for Candidates:
1. Download Materials:
– Download the folder containing the original video, XML file, and audio intro and outro files from the provided Google Drive link.
2. Editing Task:
– Pick a highlight moment to use as an intro hook and create an animated hooking intro (less than 60sec length)
– Reference video will be provided
3. Exporting:
– Export the edited intro with mp4 file.
4. Short Form Video Creation:
– Select one highlight from the video. (less than 60sec length)
– Create a TikTok-style short-form video using this highlight.
– Export the short video in Full HD (FHD).
5. Submission:
– Collect all edited files into one folder.
– Label the folder with your name.
– Upload the folder to the designated Google Drive link.
6. Follow-Up:
– We will review your submission.
– Qualified candidates will be contacted and invited to join our Slack channel to start the project.

What Happens After You Apply:
1. Initial Interview:
– We will schedule a 10-minute interview via Google Meet to get to know you better.
2. Skill Demonstration:
– You will be given access to our assets to complete a short task that showcases your skills.
3. Task Completion:
– Complete and submit the assigned task before the deadline.
4. Onboarding:
– If you meet our qualifications, you will be invited to work on projects with us!
