Role Overview: We are seeking a creative and skilled Video Editor to join our team. You will play a pivotal role in creating compelling video content that educates, inspires, and engages our audience. Your work will involve editing video footage for our YouTube channel and social media platforms, ensuring high-quality production that aligns with our mission and brand voice.

Responsibilities:
Edit and assemble recorded raw material into a suitable, finished product ready for broadcasting. The material may include camera footage, dialogue, sound effects, graphics, and special effects.
Collaborate closely with the content team to execute ideas and bring stories to life.
Enhance the video content with graphics, animations, and music to engage viewers and promote sharing.
Ensure consistency and relevancy to the production’s message and audience demographic.
Manage multiple projects from concept through completion under tight deadlines.
Keep up-to-date with trending editing techniques, technologies, and best practices in social media platforms to suggest improvements and innovations.
Provide final polishing of video content, including color correction, sound mixing, and adding subtitles or captions as needed.

Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Video Editor with a strong portfolio showcasing your work on YouTube and/or social media platforms.
Expertise in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro).
Creative mind and storytelling skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines.
Experience in creating content that caters to immigrants and/or the IT sector is a plus.
Ability to create long form and short form videos with an intent to repurpose across various platforms
Graphic and creative content experience and ability to create thumbnails
Strong knowledge of Youtube, LinkedIn, TikTok, FB and Instagram is needed for this role.
