Job Description

Role (Overview of the Position)
As a Video Editor, your role is to produce marketing content that brings together the cohesive story and brand messaging (Company Name) is looking to create in our marketing.
Responsibilities (Tasks Associated with the Role)
Attending the mandatory Daily Huddle team meeting as well as any other calendar meetings set by the company.
Editing videos to brand standard for platforms including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, the Podcast, Twitter and/or LinkedIn.
Creating and/or utilizing appropriate intro and outro segments for video content as needed.
Ensuring all content is correctly organized by platform in our provided Google Drive folders and fully up to date each Friday at 4pm EST.
Providing translations and/or subtitles when directed for requested video editing content with subtitles created as listed in the preference sheet.
Updating the content spreadsheet with correct video links each day by 4pm EST if new content has been created.
Consistently backing up content as directed by the leadership team to prevent loss of marketing resources.
Assisting in the creation, maintenance, and improvement of SOP processes used for training team members in the Video Editor role.
Regularly engaging with the production team to take notes on their needs, specifications, and expectations of individual projects to ensure minimal revision processes.
Understanding the larger purpose behind each piece of content and editing with that big picture in mind to create a cohesive marketing effort across all content.
Utilizing requested music, graphics, after-effects etc. to ensure the project meets the look and feel of the company brand standards.
Submitting projects for review by the CEO and COO in a timely manner to allow for necessary revisions and improvements as noted by the leadership team.
Continuously seeking further education on new editing techniques and technologies to maximize efficiency.

Results (Expected Accomplishments)
Video engagement on all social media platforms consistently increases over time.
All projects are completed by (time and day) the day of the listed deadline.
Projects require no more than 2 rounds of revision for preference updates, mistakes, additions etc.
Must be creating 5-6 final product videos a week for Facebook and Instagram.
All videos must have an appropriate thumbnail created and submitted with the final product video file.

Requirements (Expected Proficiencies)
Must have a minimum 2 years experience with software including but not limited to Avid Media Composer, Lightworks, Premiere, After Effects and Final Cut.
Must have a portfolio of previous video editing work experience.
Must have excellent grammar and spelling skills in both English and Spanish.
Must be available 40 hours+ / week between the hours of 9am to 5pm EST.
Must be available for mandatory Daily Huddle meeting at 9am EST Monday to Friday.
Must be able to excel under pressure and consistently meet deadlines.
Experience in graphic design is highly preferred.
EST time zone is highly preferred.
Familiarity with special effects, 3D and compositing are preferred.
Critical thinking skills and a high level of attention to detail.
Thorough knowledge of timing, motivation, and continuity.
Creativity and a passionate interest in film and video editing.
A strong sense of team involvement and dedication to a company.
Organizational and time management skills.
