COMPANY OVERVIEW:

Our company is looking for a video editor to turn our talking head videos into engaging content for our YouTube channels. Our content is primarily focused on education, technology, and tutorials.

JOB SUMMARY:

As a YouTube Video Editor, you will be responsible for editing and producing high-quality videos for our YouTube channel. You will work closely with our content creator to ensure that all videos are engaging, visually appealing, and meet the highest standards of quality. Your role will be to take raw footage and turn it into polished, professional videos that captivate our audience.

Here are examples of ‘talking head’ videos you should be able to edit and create:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Edit and produce videos for our YouTube channel, including cutting footage, adding music, sound effects, B roll, and creating engaging visual effects
• Collaborate with the content creator to ensure that all videos are on brand and meet the highest standards of quality
• Meet deadlines and work efficiently to produce high-quality videos
• Work closely with the content creator to understand the vision for each video and execute on that vision
• Continuously improve video quality by staying up-to-date with the latest editing techniques and tools
• Manage and organize all footage and assets for each video
• Provide feedback and suggestions for improving the overall video production process

REQUIREMENTS:

• Experience in video editing, specifically for YouTube
• Proficient in video editing software such as Davinci Resolve / Final Cut Pro / Adobe Premier
• Know how to edit long-form and short-form videos for YouTube and YouTube Shorts
• Experience with color grading, audio mixing, and visual effects
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver high-quality work on time
• Strong communication skills and ability to take direction
• Knowledge of YouTube and its best practices for video content creation
• A portfolio showcasing your video editing skills
