Responsibilities:
– Editing 3-7 long form videos per week, ranging from 10-30 mins each
– Editing 3-7 short form videos per week, ranging from 10-45 secs each
– Distributing video content across multiple platforms, including writing descriptions and titles as required using templates according to standard requirements
– Reviewing of raw material to determine the shot list.
– Manipulating film and video footage using modern editing techniques.
– Maintaining continuity while moving shots according to scene value.
– Trimming footage and putting together the rough project.
– Inserting dialog, sound effects, music, graphics, and special effects.
– Ensuring the project follows a logical sequence.
– Consulting with the director and production team throughout the project.
– Creating the final cut for distribution.

Requirements:
– Hands-on experience with editing software, such as Adobe After Effects, Final Cut Pro X, Avid Media Composer, Lightworks, and Premier, required
– Portfolio of completed film projects, required
– General understanding of brand, copywriting, SEO, content marketing, etc, required
– GREAT interpersonal and communication skills, required
– Growth mindset, required
– Ability to work on a tight schedule and manage multiple project deadlines, required
– Ability to translate ideas into complete projects, required

— APPLICATION & RECRUITMENT PROCESS —
STEP 1:

STEP 2:
Qualified candidates may be invited to participate in three PAID test projects, $10 USD for the first test project and $20 USD each for the second and third ones (a total of $50 USD!).

STEP 3:
Candidates who advance through the test project rounds will be invited to an interview.

STEP 4:
Before extending a trial offer, we will conduct a character reference check for the final candidate(s). This will be the last step in the hiring process.

STEP 5:
Upon receiving a trial offer, you will be onboarded as a Video Editor with a 90-day PAID trial period. During this period, we expect you to demonstrate your video editing expertise, meet project deadlines, collaborate effectively, and showcase creativity. A successful trial will lead to a permanent invitation to join the team.
