Job Description:

We are looking for a creative and experienced Social Media Video Editor who can help us create engaging and high-quality video content for our social media platforms. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of storytelling, pacing, and editing principles, as well as a keen eye for detail. They will be responsible for editing and producing video content that aligns with our brand’s vision, enhances our online presence, and engages our audience.

Responsibilities:

-Edit and assemble recorded raw material into a suitable, finished product ready for broadcasting on various social media -platforms.
-Collaborate with our creative team to brainstorm video ideas and strategies.
-Use creativity and artistic techniques to tell a story or provide information in visual form.
-Review shooting script and raw material to create a shot decision list based on scenes’ value and contribution to continuity.
-Trim footage segments and put together the sequence of the film.
-Input music, dialogues, graphics, and effects.
-Ensure logical sequencing and smooth running of the video.
-Consult with stakeholders from production to post-production process.
-Continuously discover and implement new editing technologies and industry’s best practices to maximize efficiency.

Qualifications:

-Proven work experience as a Video Editor in the social media space.
-Solid experience with digital technology and editing software packages (e.g., Avid Media Composer, Lightworks, Premiere, After Effects, and Final Cut).
-Demonstrable video editing ability with a strong portfolio.
-Thorough knowledge of timing, motivation, and continuity.
-Creative mind and storytelling skills.
-Degree in film studies, cinematography, or related field is a plus.
