We are looking to work with a talented and experienced Video Editor on a freelance basis. Most of the editing we need is for short, simple projects that are pretty straight forward.
The content we are looking to produce will mainly be 5-10 minute instructional videos that provide technical training and business training for our employees and customers.

Expertise level required is likely a few years of video editing experience.

Responsibilities:

Editing raw footage – We will provide the raw footage of presentations and product or equipment demonstrations. You will select the best clips, cut, edit and rearrange the footage in a way that engages the audience and provides a clear explanation of the topic. You will need to manipulate and edit the video to retain the interest of the audience.

Insert Images – Insert images and diagrams we provide at appropriate points in the video. Add intro and outro branding.

Audio editing – You will need to ensure that the audio levels are consistent and that the sound quality is clear. The narrative in the audio track will need to match the edited footage. Ensure unwanted sounds are minimised or eliminated.

Colour correction and grading – You will need to adjust parameters like brightness, contrast, saturation and so on, to bring out the best in the footage. We want the colours in the finished video to be appealing and consistent throughout the video.
Thumbnails – You will need to select a frame to use as a thumbnail to increase the viewers interest in watching the video.

Team Work – You will need to provide suggestions and feedback on the footage and filming technique so that we can improve the quality of the finished product.

Requirements:

Attention to detail and ability to work independently
Proven experience as a video editor, with a strong portfolio of previous work
Proficiency in video editing software.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively
Fluency in English is required as you must be able to understand the presenters in the video in order to edit the footage successfully
