Job Description
Avalon Creative Group is seeking a freelance video editor and motion graphics artist based in the Philippines to work with us as an independent contractor. Examples of projects include videos to inspire audiences at corporate events, on-demand marketing webinars, internal corporate training and sales enablement, product demos, highlight reels, social media ads, interviews and customer testimonials.
This will initially be a project-by-project engagement with the goal to evolve into a full-time member of our core team. Pay rate will be dependent on experience & expertise of the successful candidate, estimated to be $10-15 USD (? 565-846 PHP) per hour for project work, $1,000-1,500 USD (? 56,451-84,677 PHP) per month for full-time engagement (40 hours per week). While the work is remote, it will require schedule overlap with standard business hours in the US / Pacific Time Zone.
RESPONSIBILITIES
> Editing high quality videos from a variety of sources, including single-camera, multi-camera, stock footage, AI generated video, graphic elements, music, sound effects, etc.
> Effectively and efficiently generating video footage and elements using the latest AI tools
> Design, creation and animation of motion graphics
> Monitoring accuracy and correction of color and audio
> Understanding and application of corporate branding and style guidelines and templates (MOGRTs)
> Management, organization and backup of video assets and deliverables, including raw footage, graphics, sound files, stock footage, projects, files, etc.
> Adherence to budget constraints while incorporating client feedback and changes through multiple rounds of review and revisions
> Contributions to and consistent application of efficient workflow processes and standards (SOPs)
> Ongoing professional development and skills enhancement
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
LOCATION, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
> You must be based in the Philippines
> Minimum of 5 years of experience as a full-time or freelance video editor and motion graphics artist
> Experience and comfort working directly with corporate clients to solicit feedback and implement revisions
> Professional-level proficiency in written and verbal English communications
> Strong portfolio with a variety of corporate examples in various industries that showcases your work
EXPERTISE
> Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Premiere Pro and After Effects
> Expertise in video editing fundamentals and techniques, including pacing, storytelling, and continuity
> Familiarity with current industry trends and best practices in video editing and motion graphics
> Knowledge of different video formats and codecs for various platforms and delivery requirements
PROFESSIONALISM
>Proven track record of punctuality and reliability is essential
>Excellent attention to detail and adeptness at managing multiple concurrent projects
>Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a remote team environment
>Familiarity with team communication and project management tools like Slack, ClickUp, or similar platforms
>Possession of a reliable computer or laptop capable of editing 4K video projects in Adobe Premiere and related tools
>Reliable internet connectivity with a minimum speed of 25 Mbps for both upload and download
PREFERRED
>College degree in Film or Video Production, Marketing, Advertising, Multimedia, Graphic Design or related discipline
>Proficiency in color correction, audio editing, and mastering
>Experience using AI post-production tools, including Premiere Pro, Firefly, Runway, and Wondershare Filmora for AI: text-based video editing, video subtitles/captions, repair/enhance bad audio, automatically edit multi-camera, color correction, grading, matching colors, smooth transitions for combining clips
>Strong understanding of visual composition, typography, and graphic design principles
>Completion of training and/or certifications in key software used
>Dedicated workspace where you can work without distractions
>Knowledge of social media platforms and video optimization for each platform is a plus
