Video Editor & Animation/Motion Graphics Artist

We are seeking a talented and innovative video editor to join our team on a part-time basis. This role offers potential full-time employment within a few months for the right candidate. The ideal applicant will have a keen eye for creating engaging short-form content, with a strong portfolio that demonstrates experience across various platforms such as YouTube Shorts, Reels, TikToks, and Podcasts.

Responsibilities:

– Edit a variety of video content, particularly focusing on engaging short-form social media videos.
– Edit feature film (7-13 minute) wedding films
– Proficient use of video editing software such as Final Cut Pro
– Manage multiple projects efficiently and meet tight deadlines.
– Keep up to date with the latest trends and techniques in video editing and sound design.
– Utilise animation capabilities to elevate the visual appeal of videos (preferred).

Requirements:

– Demonstrable experience as a video editor, highlighted by a strong portfolio featuring engaging short-form content.
– Proficiency in Final Cut Pro or similar, but FCP is much preferred
– Strong portfolio of fitness, educational, talking head content (including captions), and weddings is highly advantageous.
– Capable of executing high-quality sound design.
– Skills in photo editing and graphic design are preferred.
– Excellent attention to detail with the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
– Superior communication and collaboration skills.
– Passionate about video editing with a continual desire to learn and adopt new techniques.
– Self-sufficient and proactive, capable of taking full ownership of projects from conception to completion.
