Video Editor Contractor Role Description

**Role Summary**:
We are seeking a talented and creative Video Editor with a keen eye for detail and a passion for storytelling to join our team. The primary focus of this role is on podcast editing, involving multiple camera angles and ensuring high-quality audio and video output. The ideal candidate will be adept at creating engaging video content that resonates with our audience and promotes our platform.

**Key Responsibilities**:
– Edit video podcasts typically featuring 3 different camera angles, ensuring seamless transitions and synchronization.
– Produce finished video podcasts ranging from 30-60 minutes, hosted on Click to view.
– Create an MP3 audio-only version of podcasts for distribution on various podcasting platforms.
– Develop at least one 60-second reel for social media promotion, including captivating captions for audience engagement.
– Design a 2-3 minute 1920x1080p trailer for each episode, providing a glimpse of the content to attract viewers on Click to view.
– Edit a 15-20 minute version of the podcast for YouTube to drive traffic to Click to view and increase membership.
– Generate promotional videos and reels for upcoming podcasts and overall platform promotion.
– Work collaboratively with the production team to maintain brand consistency and high-quality standards.

**Requirements**:
– Proven experience in video editing, particularly with podcast formats.
– Proficiency in editing software and tools, with the ability to produce content in various formats.
– Experience with VTT caption creation is preferred, but not mandatory.
– Ability to work creatively and efficiently under tight deadlines.
– Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality content.
– Excellent communication skills and ability to stay on brand.
– Portfolio of previous work to demonstrate editing skills and creativity.

**Work Arrangement**:
– This is a part-time/casual position with the potential for growth as our content expands.
– The role will initially focus on editing for two new podcasts starting in April, with additional projects to follow.
