Our team is on the lookout for a skilled and creative video editor to join us on a mission to create engaging, fast-paced short form content for Instagram Reels and TikTok.
We’re a rapidly growing team of content creators who cater to a unique clientele.
As we’re experiencing a surge in demand, we’re looking to expand our team and outsource some of our video editing work.
About the Job:
Your primary task will be to transform raw footage provided by us into compelling 5-20 second videos.
The videos need to be in vertical 1080×1920 pixels format, perfect for mobile-first platforms like Instagram and TikTok.
The key to success in this role lies in your ability to create content that not only aligns with the client’s brand identity, but also captures the attention of viewers within the first few seconds.
We expect you to be adept at adding text captions, auto-subtitles, transitions, and camera movements to increase the overall viewer engagement.
An ear for sound effects that add to the narrative would be a huge plus. We want to utilise nice trending sounds etc too so if you have a good idea of trending tiktok sounds in AUS, US, UK, CAN etc. that would be good. Standard.
The client you’ll be working with is a popular ready-to-eat frozen meal delivery company in Australia, known for its cool and diverse menu. Really cool branding and a high profile influencer is the head of it. This will be a great client case study for your resume and portfolio too.
Ideal Candidate (can this be you):
– Proficient in Adobe After Effects and Premiere Pro
– Proven experience creating content for Instagram reels or TikTok
– Able to create compelling, viral-style videos that are engaging and dynamic
– Previous experience in high-paced editing roles
– Experience in using ChatGPT for writing hooks and scripts would be a bonus
