Video Editor for TikTok

Seeking a part-time video editor to create short-form video content. Please read the entirety of this job post to ensure you are a good fit.

You will work closely with our production team to create engaging, dynamic, and trend-focused video content for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts. Your main responsibility will be taking podcast video snippets and creating compelling short-form video content that captivates and grows our TikTok / Instagram / YouTube audience.

The intention is to onboard a video editor for the long-term; we are not seeking a short-term engagement. We’d like to grow together, and as such, some compensation upside is possible for the select candidate who can execute well.

Responsibilities:

– Edit and create unique, compelling short-form video content
– Utilize relevant imagery, graphics, and texts to enhance video content
– Stay up-to-date on current TikTok trends, strategies, and best practices to apply them to the content created
– Maintain the visual consistency and brand identity across all videos
– Collaborate with the social media team to align TikTok strategy with overall social media goals
– Provide regular updates on content performance using TikTok analytics

Requirements:

– Proven experience in video editing
– Proficient in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, Descript, or other equivalent tools you have access to
– Demonstrated ability to create visually appealing and engaging short-form video content
– Knowledge of current TikTok / Reels / Shorts trends and understanding of the various algorithms
– Highly creative with excellent attention to detail
– Self-motivated with the ability to meet deadlines in a remote work environment
– Ability to receive feedback and make necessary adjustments
