Video Editor ( IG Reels, TikTok, YT Shorts)

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Short-Form Video Editor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating engaging and visually appealing 1-minute and 1 second (1:01 to 1:10) videos derived from our long-form YouTube content. These videos will feature hardcoded captions in specified fonts and sizes, optimized for vertical viewing.

About the Role:
This position is with Brent Timm, a well-known YouTuber and Vlogger. The ideal candidate will be familiar with Brent’s content and style, possessing a keen understanding of humor and jokes to effectively convey the tone of the videos. Additionally, the candidate must have a strong understanding of current social media trends and memes, as each video is designed with the intent to go viral.

Key Responsibilities:

Edit long-form YouTube videos into concise, engaging 1-minute short-form videos.
Ensure all videos include hardcoded captions in the specified font and size.
Utilize keyframes and auto-reframing techniques to enhance visual appeal.
Apply strong storytelling skills to create compelling video narratives.
Produce a minimum of 25 high-quality videos per month.
Ensure all videos are in 30fps and meet exact vertical dimension requirements.
Select the most exciting and interesting segments from long-form content to maximize viewer engagement.
Integrate humor and trending memes appropriately to enhance viewer appeal.
Design each video with the goal of maximizing its potential to go viral.
Communicate effectively regarding any uncertainties or spelling of specific words.
Ensure all captions are free from spelling errors and accurately represent the spoken content.
Meet all deadlines and maintain open communication about project progress and challenges.
Qualifications:

Minimum of one year of experience with video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or CapCut.
Proven ability to use keyframes and auto-reframing tools effectively.
Strong storytelling abilities to create engaging short-form content.
Attention to detail, especially regarding spelling and grammar in captions.
Excellent time management and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong communication skills and responsiveness to feedback.
Familiarity with Brent Timm’s content and an understanding of humor and jokes.
In-depth knowledge of current social media trends and memes.
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in editing content specifically for social media platforms.
Familiarity with trends in short-form video content and social media algorithms..
