Job Description
Avalon Creative Group is seeking a talented and experienced video editor + motion graphics based in the Philippines to work with us as an independent contractor. Project examples will include videos to inspire audiences at corporate events, on-demand marketing webinars, internal corporate training and sales enablement, product demos, highlight reels, social media ads, interviews and customer testimonials.
Our goal is to establish a long term working relationship with a creative, reliable and ambitious video expert. After an initial trial period, the right person will become an integral member of our creative team on a full-time basis.
RESPONSIBILITIES
> Edit high quality videos from a variety of sources, including single-camera, multi-camera, stock footage, AI generated video, graphic elements, music, sound effects, etc.
> Effectively and efficiently generating video footage and elements using the latest AI tools
> Design, create and animate motion graphics
> Manage accuracy and correction of color and audio
> Understand and apply corporate branding and style guidelines and templates (MOGRTs)
> Manage, organize and backup video assets and deliverables, including raw footage, graphics, sound files, stock footage, projects, files, etc.
> Adhere to budget constraints while incorporating client feedback and changes through multiple rounds of review and revisions
> Contribute to and consistently apply efficient workflow processes and standards (SOPs)
> Document guidelines and process details for team members and clients
> Pursue ongoing professional development and skill enhancements
ENGAGEMENT DETAILS:
> The initial trial period will be a half-time, retainer engagement for 80 hours per month
> Hours per week will vary and unused hours will be carried over to the next month
> The engagement will be expanded to full-time as our workload justifies the need
(we anticipate that will be 2-3 months, possibly longer or shorter)
> This is a remote work position
> At least 50% of the work hours (maybe more) will need to overlap with standard business hours in California, with work starting at 4:00am GMT+8 or earlier, depending on client and internal needs
COMPENSATION
> Full-time compensation rate will be $1000 – 1500 USD per month
> The final rate established will be based on qualifications and experience
> Once transitioned to full-time, paid holidays and paid time off days will be added
> Compensation rate range for the initial trial period will be $500 – 750 USD per month
> This is a retainer engagement for 80 hours of work per month
> Hours per week will vary and unused hours will be carried over to the next month
> No paid holidays or paid time off days will be included during the initial trial period
QUALIFICATIONS:
KEY REQUIREMENTS:
> You must be based in the Philippines with fast, reliable internet access and a robust computer
> You must have a flexible schedule and be adaptable to receive project requests and quickly start production work to deliver assets requested in a timely and efficient manner
> You must have strong creative skills and a portfolio of work that demonstrates your passion and experience with video editing and motion graphics
> English fluency (written and spoken) along with excellent communication skills are essential
EXPERTISE
> At least 5 years of professional experience and proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Premiere Pro and After Effects
> Expertise in video editing fundamentals and techniques, including pacing, storytelling, and continuity
> Familiarity with current industry trends and best practices in video editing and motion graphics
> Knowledge of different video formats and codecs for various platforms and delivery requirements
> Professionalism
> Proven track record of punctuality and reliability is essential
> Excellent attention to detail and adeptness at managing multiple concurrent projects
> Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a remote team environment
> Familiarity with team communication and project management tools like Slack, ClickUp, or similar platforms
> Possession of a reliable computer or laptop capable of editing 4K video projects in Adobe Premiere and related tools
> Reliable internet connectivity with a minimum speed of 25 Mbps for both upload and download
PREFERRED
> Proficiency in color correction, audio editing, and mastering
> Experience using AI post-production tools, including Premiere Pro, Firefly, Runway, and Wondershare Filmora for AI: text-based video editing, video subtitles/captions, repair/enhance bad audio, automatically edit multi-camera, color correction, grading, matching colors, smooth transitions for combining clips
> Strong understanding of visual composition, typography, and graphic design principles
> Completion of training and/or certifications in key software used
> Dedicated workspace where you can work without distractions
> Knowledge of social media platforms and video encoding specifications for each platform
