Job Title: Video Editor
Location: Remote
Terms: Permanent part-time or full-time
Requirements: 1-2 main channel videos per week, 1-2 shorts per week with a flexible schedule
About us: We have two YouTube channels, Whisky Central and A Taste for Adventure. One is a travel channel, and the other is a Whiskey review channel. We value kindness, attention to detail, and the ability to follow clear instructions and meet deadlines.
About the Role: We are looking for an experienced video editor who can be the main editor for our YouTube channels. Must be fast, Effective, and have 3yrs+ in previous video editing experience. You must be able to assemble raw footage into a rough edit, audio engineer including sound effects, voice-over, and overlaying music, and Reorder and fine-tune content into a final cut, including color grading, text, sounds, and motion graphic animations.
Responsibilities:
Edit and produce one high-quality, engaging travel vlog per week
Edit and produce one high-quality, engaging talking head review video per week
Editing 1-2 Shorts for multiple channels per week
Creating engaging thumbnails
Applicant Knowledge and Abilities:
English language proficiency
Adaptability and Flexibility to change videos to suit desired end product
Tolerance for creative critique and feedback by director
An ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
An eye for detail
An ability to work well with team members and cooperate with others
Creativity and dependability
Passion and interest in film and video editing
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Skills Required:
3yrs+ of Video editing experience with Davinci Resolve or Adobe Premiere Pro
Color grading
Audio engineering
Preferred Skills:
Adobe after effects – Motion graphics/animation
