Job Description: Video Editor

We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Video Editor to join our team. As a Video Editor, you will be responsible for reviewing and selecting the best shots from raw footage, editing videos, and adding various visual elements to create captivating content. The ideal candidate should have experience in using industry-standard software such as After Effects and DaVinci Resolve, as well as possess advanced skills in transitions and caption editing.

Responsibilities:

– Review and analyze raw footage to identify the best shots for editing.
– Edit and assemble videos to meet specific project requirements and client expectations.
– Use creative techniques and advanced transitions to enhance the visual appeal of the videos.
– Collaborate with the creative team to develop and execute video concepts and ideas.
– Ensure all edited videos are of high quality, with proper color grading, audio synchronization, and visual effects.
– Add captions, text overlays, and other graphics to videos to enhance storytelling and engagement.
– Work closely with the project manager and clients to understand their vision and requirements.
– Meet project deadlines and manage multiple editing projects simultaneously.
– Stay up-to-date with the latest video editing techniques and software advancements.
– Maintain organized files and backups of all video assets for easy retrieval and future use.

Requirements:
– Proven work experience as a Video Editor or similar role.
– Proficient in using video editing software such as Adobe After Effects and DaVinci Resolve.
– Advanced skills in transitions, visual effects, and motion graphics.
– Strong understanding of video composition, color grading, and audio editing.
– Experience in editing travel videos and reels for Instagram entrepreneurs is preferred.
– Creative mindset with a keen eye for detail and storytelling.
– Excellent time management and organizational skills.
– Ability to work independently and collaborate with a team to meet project goals.
– Strong communication skills to effectively understand client requirements and provide regular project updates.
– A portfolio showcasing previous video editing work is highly desirable.
