Job Description

Hello! I am a real estate agent that works in the suburbs of Los Angeles. I am looking for a video editor that can edit my raw footage into amazing long from YouTube videos. I currently upload videos every week to my channel, so this has the potential to become a part time position. I am looking for someone who has edited real estate videos before and has knowledge of professional, yet entertaining edits (transitions, effects, b-roll, etc.). I do a variety of videos including market updates, home tours, educational topics, pro/con, and neighborhood tours. I will supply 2 or 3 channels that I admire so you can get a sense of the look I am going for.

I would like to Dropbox or Google Drive raw footage by Tuesday of every week and be able to upload by mid day Friday every week. It is possible I will send 2 or 3 videos worth of footage at one time, but I would not all need them back at the same time. I would expect the videos to come back to me ready for upload. I will do the uploading, tagging, keyword, etc. (for now, if the editor and I work well together, I may add you as a manager to my YouTube and increase the pay, down the line)

Needed skills:
– Video editing in a professional but engaging style
– Thumbnails that will get clicks (willing to collaborate with the editor to make sure it has the right look)
– Basic understanding of the real estate culture in the US
– Would prefer someone who has experience/past work editing real estate videos
– I am open to someone suggesting things I can do to improve the videos

To apply: Please send your resume to my email provided. Along with that, please answer these three simple questions:

– Are you familiar with US real estate culture, especially in California?
– What particular skills do you think you have that make you a good fit for this position?
– Do you currently work with any other real estate agents for their YouTube channel (It’s fine if you do, I would just like to know)?
– Roughly, how many hours does it take you to edit a video, starting with 25-35 minutes of raw footage and editing it down to an 8-11 minute video?

Thank you for taking the time to read this post and apply! I can assure you I am a mild mannered person and am easy to work with. I am committed to making my YouTube channel a success and obtain business from it. If it does well, this could easily be a long term position with future pay increases.
