Job Overview
We are seeking a creative and skilled Remote Part-Time Video Editor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have graphic design experience, a keen eye for detail, a passion for storytelling, and the technical expertise to create engaging video content. As a Remote Part-Time Video Editor, you will be responsible for editing various types of videos, ensuring high-quality output, and collaborating with our team to bring our projects to life.
Responsibilities and Duties
Edit video content for various platforms, including social media, YouTube, websites, and marketing campaigns.
Trim footage segments and put together the sequence of the film.
Input music, dialogues, graphics, and effects.
Create rough and final cuts.
Ensure logical sequencing and smooth running of video projects.
Review shooting script and raw material to create a shot decision list based on scenes’ value and contribution to continuity.
Collaborate with the creative team to understand project requirements and deliver the desired outcome.
Continuously discover and implement new editing technologies and industry best practices to maximize efficiency.
Maintain an organized library of video assets.
Work within deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Qualifications
Three years of experience in a related field
Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills
Proven work experience as a Video Editor, with a strong portfolio showcasing previous work.
Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, After Effects, or similar.
Solid experience with digital technology and editing software packages (e.g., Avid Media Composer, Lightworks, etc.).
Demonstrable video editing ability with a strong portfolio.
Familiarity with special effects, 3D, and compositing.
Creative mind and storytelling skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
High attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
A degree in film studies, cinematography, or a related field is a plus but not required.
Shift
Official work shift 7:00 am – 4:00 pm PST (4 hours per day for part-time)
Onboarding 8:30 am – 12:30 pm PST – 2 days
Training 8:30 am – 12:30 pm PST – 2-6 days
Compensation
USD $275 to $350
