Job Description

About Us:
Mimmish is a burgeoning YouTube channel dedicated to unwrapping the layered tales behind businesses, magnates, and the ever-evolving world of commerce. Through our documentaries, we venture beyond mundane company timelines, diving deep into the heartbeats of businesses, the peaks and troughs they have sailed, and the myriad tales they have to tell.
The Role
You would research a topic (for example, the story of a large company,), then create a compelling script to tell the chronological story of the company.
We are NOT looking for you to write an essay / Wikipedia article. A good story has emotion – sometimes that may be the highs and lows an entrepreneur faced, challenges they overcame, or controversy/drama the company was involved with. The key is to tell the story in the most interesting way, whilst still making sure everything is fact checked.
Please visit /magnatesmedia for some examples of the specific style we are looking for.
Skills needed:
Ability to research thoroughly, and find interesting information beyond surface level results.
Ability to fact check and verify the information is correct.
Storytelling skills to create an interesting and engaging story that keeps people hooked.
What We Offer:
An opportunity to tell stories that matter.
A platform to showcase your narrative genius.
Competitive remuneration.
Job Description:
1. Craft Captivating Introductions: Kick start the narrative with panache. Draw the viewer in without resorting to cliches. Your introduction should be an irresistible invitation to a journey, not a mundane door sign.
2. Early Beginnings: Set the stage with a compelling anecdote or event that triggered the birth or pivotal shift of the business.
3. Construct Engaging Chapters: We’re not here for a cursory glance. Dive into:
a. Background & Origins: The roots of the story.
b. Key Players: The heroes, the villains, and everyone in between.
c. Major Milestones: The events that shaped the journey.
d. Controversies & Challenges: The storms weathered.
e. Impact & Legacy: The footprint left behind on industries or societies.
f. Surprises: Unearth lesser-known gems that add flair to the story.
4. Embrace a Conversational Tone: We’re narrating a tale, not a textbook. Your script should sound like an enthralling chat by the fireside, not a classroom lecture.
5. Embellish with Interesting Nuggets: Pepper the script with anecdotes, quotes, facts, and stats. We want depth, painted vividly.
6. Flowing Narratives: Your script should read like a river, not a patchwork quilt. Seamlessly transition from one chapter to the next.
7. Thought-Provoking Conclusions: Leave the audience with something to chew on, a sentiment to ponder, long after the video has ended.
Your Guidebook: For inspiration and tonality, view our “Subway history” documentary on /magnatesmedia. However, originality is key.
Job Requirements:
Research Prowess: Unearth details from beneath the commonplace.
Fact-Checking Vigilance: We uphold truth and accuracy.
Innate Storytelling Ability: Our audience should hang onto every word you script.
Final Thoughts:
At Mimmish, we believe every business has a soul, a story waiting to be told. If you share our sentiment and have the skills to breathe life into these tales, we welcome you to join our narrative journey. Tell stories that captivate, educate, and inspire.
How to Apply:
Share samples of your previous script work (if any).
Optional: Craft a short 300-word introduction on any business of your choice to showcase your style.
Send your application to .
Let’s together craft tales that resonate, educate, and linger.
