Virtual Assistant
I am an entrepreneur, the CEO of a non-profit organization, a nurse, and a full-time post-Ph.D. researcher. My non-profit is a vocational program that provides technical skills to people interested in entry-level health careers. Our program is free to those we serve because we are interested in the underserved. As a full-time Ph.D. student, I have a fellowship where I provide services to community members who need cancer prevention education.
Virtual Assistant Job Responsibilities (Support Role):
• Respond to emails and phone calls
• Assist with student registrations, progress, records, and communication
• Manage the CEO’s calendar (including scheduling meetings)
• Create presentations and write official, company-wide correspondence
• Manage weekly content and posts on the company’s social media accounts
• Assist with finding philanthropy sources for the non-profit (grants)
The hours for this position are flexible. I require weekly meeting times as needed. The VA will be provided with what is needed for the week before the time they are needed. The hours are Eastern Standard Time. Projects will be provided ahead of time. I require a VA with good writing skills and limited use of AI. If AI is used, I would like them to be honest about using it for their work.
Virtual Assistant Qualifications/Skills:
• Previous experience as a virtual assistant or related role
• Strong working knowledge of MS Office (specifically word-processing and spreadsheet software)
• Experience with online meeting software (like Zoom or MS Teams), online chat/instant messaging, and group-sharing platforms like Slack or Microsoft Teams
• Proficient with online calendars and scheduling (like Google Calendar)
• Excellent writing, verbal communication, and time management skills
• Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to complete tasks with little supervision
• Social media content management
• Proficient in WordPress design and management

Education & Experience Requirements:
• High school diploma
• Two to four years of experience as a virtual assistant, executive assistant, or other executive administrative support roles
• Proven experience managing content and posts on social media platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram)
