Position Overview:
We are on the lookout for a skilled and meticulous Virtual Assistant with expertise in Accounting/Bookkeeping to join our virtual team. As the primary contact person for our external accountant, you will play a vital role in maintaining accurate financial records and facilitating effective communication.
Responsibilities:
1. QuickBooks Management: Utilize your QuickBooks proficiency to manage and update financial records efficiently.
Generate regular financial reports for internal review and analysis.
2. Communication and Coordination: Act as the main point of contact for our external accountant, ensuring smooth communication and providing necessary documentation. Collaborate with suppliers and contractors to obtain missing information, receipts, and invoices promptly.
3. Financial Documentation and Systems: Develop and implement efficient systems to organize and document financial transactions. Create and maintain documentation to support financial processes and reporting.
4. Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline financial reporting processes. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement improvements and enhance overall efficiency.
5. KPI System Development: Design and implement a Key Performance Indicator (KPI) system to track progress and measure the business’s success. Regularly assess and report on KPIs to gauge the company’s forward momentum.
Qualifications:
1. Proven experience as a Virtual Assistant in Accounting/Bookkeeping, with a focus on attention to detail.
2. Strong proficiency in QuickBooks and other relevant accounting software.
3. Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with external accountants, suppliers, and contractors.
4. Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management abilities.
5. Ability to work independently in a remote setting.
Education and Certifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. Professional certifications such as ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent are advantageous.
