Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Virtual Assistant Bookkeeper to support our client’s finance team remotely. The ideal candidate will have experience in bookkeeping and accounting tasks, with proficiency in managing accounts payable/receivable, reconciling financial records, and processing expense reports. Experience with Oracle NetSuite is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage Accounts Payable/Receivable: Process invoices, payments, and receipts accurately and in a timely manner. Maintain organized records of transactions and ensure all payments are made and received promptly.
Perform Bookkeeping Tasks: Record financial transactions, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments, into accounting software. Maintain accurate ledgers and journals to track financial activity.
Reconcile Bank Statements and Financial Records: Review and reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and other financial records to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies. Investigate and resolve any discrepancies or errors.
Process Employee Expense Reports: Review and process employee expense reports, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. Verify receipts and documentation, reconcile expenses, and reimburse employees in a timely manner.
Assist with Financial Reporting: Support the finance team in preparing financial reports, statements, and summaries as needed. Provide accurate and up-to-date financial information for analysis and decision-making.
Maintain Confidentiality: Handle sensitive financial information with the utmost confidentiality and discretion. Adhere to security protocols and procedures to protect company data.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or a related field.
Proficiency in accounting software and tools, with experience in Oracle NetSuite preferred.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a remote setting.
Understanding of basic accounting principles and practices.
